ISLAMABAD: The price of gold in Pakistan‘s local market recorded a sharp decline on Saturday after reaching a historic high.
According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs 4,700 to Rs 301,500.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams fell by Rs 4,030, which was sold at a new price of Rs 258,487.
The price of the yellow commodity also recorded a sharp decline in the international market, where the rate per ounce fell by $ 50 to $ 2,883.
A day earlier, gold prices increased, reaching a new high in both the international and local markets.
The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 2,200 to Rs 306,200 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 1,886 to Rs 262,517.
According to reports, increasing investment in gold to protect assets from depreciation has created uncertainty in the global precious metals market.
